Zamak Eyelet for Gas Springs – Type ZK6
ZK6 is a range of eyelet end fittings for gas springs, die-cast from Zamak 5 zinc alloy. Each eyelet has a flattened eye section and a cylindrical internally threaded section. The internal thread screws onto the threaded end of the gas spring, while the mounting hole connects to a compatible pin or bolt.
The ZK6 range is available in different thread sizes and mounting-hole diameters, with eye thicknesses of 5 or 10 mm depending on the variant. The eyelets can be combined with selected brackets equipped with a grooved pin. The mounting-hole diameter must be matched to the pin diameter, taking account of the required clearance and tolerances.

ZK6 Zamak Eyelet – Dimensions and Variants
The dimensional table lists the available ZK6 product codes, mounting-hole diameters, thread sizes and installation dimensions. The corresponding technical drawings show the dimensions and construction of each variant. Dimension d1 indicates the mounting-hole diameter, while d2 indicates the outside diameter of the cylindrical threaded section.
The external shape and dimensions are defined by the casting mould. Customisation is limited to the thread size and mounting-hole diameter, subject to confirmation of the required specification.
When selecting a variant, check the gas spring thread, mounting-hole diameter and available installation space. Make sure the eyelet body has sufficient clearance throughout the full range of movement so that it does not interfere with surrounding components or restrict the movement of the assembly.

Materials and Available Versions
All our Zamak products are manufactured from Zamak 5, a zinc alloy. ZK6 eyelets are produced by die casting and supplied without an additional coating as standard. The alloy itself provides corrosion resistance.
The casting mould defines the external shape and dimensions of the ZK6 body. Alternative thread sizes and mounting-hole diameters can be assessed according to the customer’s specification or application requirements.
