Eyelet for Gas Springs – Type EY4
EY4 is a range of eyelet end fittings for gas springs. Each eyelet has an eye section with a mounting hole and a cylindrical body section with an internal thread. The outline of the eye section narrows towards the cylindrical body section. The internal thread screws onto the threaded end of the gas spring, while the mounting hole connects to a compatible pin or bolt.
The EY4 range is available in different thread sizes, mounting-hole diameters and overall dimensions. The eyelets can be combined with selected U-shaped brackets or brackets equipped with a grooved pin. The mounting-hole diameter must be matched to the pin diameter, taking account of the required clearance and tolerances.
All EY4 eyelets are manufactured to order.
EY4 Eyelet – Dimensions and Variants
The dimensional table lists the available EY4 product codes, mounting-hole diameters, thread sizes and installation dimensions. The corresponding technical drawings show the dimensions and construction of each variant. Dimension d1 indicates the mounting-hole diameter, while d2 indicates the outside diameter of the cylindrical body section.
All variants listed in the dimensional table are manufactured to order.
When selecting a variant, check the gas spring thread, mounting-hole diameter and available installation space. Make sure the cylindrical body section has sufficient clearance throughout the full range of movement so that it does not interfere with surrounding components or restrict the movement of the assembly.

Materials and Available Versions
The standard material and finish for EY4 eyelets are 11SMnPb30 steel with a white zinc-plated finish.
EY4 eyelets can also be manufactured with custom dimensions, materials and surface coatings according to the customer’s specification or application requirements, including versions beyond the variants listed in the dimensional table.
