Eyelet for Gas Springs – Type EY3
EY3 is a range of eyelet end fittings for gas springs. Each eyelet has a flattened eye section with a mounting hole and a narrower cylindrical body section with an internal thread. The internal thread screws onto the threaded end of the gas spring, while the mounting hole connects to a compatible pin or bolt.
The EY3 range is available in different thread sizes, mounting-hole diameters and overall dimensions. The eyelets can be combined with selected U-shaped brackets or brackets equipped with a grooved pin. The mounting-hole diameter must be matched to the pin diameter, taking account of the required clearance and tolerances.
The range includes standard products as well as selected variants outside our standard product offering, which are manufactured to order and marked with an asterisk (*) in the dimensional table.
EY3 Eyelet – Dimensions and Variants
The dimensional table lists the available EY3 product codes, mounting-hole diameters, thread sizes and installation dimensions. The corresponding technical drawings show the dimensions and construction of each variant. Dimension d1 indicates the mounting-hole diameter, while d2 indicates the outside diameter of the cylindrical body section. Dimension l3 indicates the length of this section; it does not indicate the thread depth.
Products marked with an asterisk (*) fall outside our standard product offering and are manufactured to order. Unmarked products belong to our standard product offering.
When selecting a variant, check the gas spring thread, mounting-hole diameter and available installation space. Make sure the cylindrical body section has sufficient clearance throughout the full range of movement so that it does not interfere with surrounding components or restrict the movement of the assembly.

Materials and Available Versions
Standard EY3 eyelets are manufactured from 11SMnPb30 steel with a white zinc-plated finish.
EY3 eyelets can also be manufactured with custom dimensions, materials and surface coatings according to the customer’s specification or application requirements, including versions beyond the variants listed in the dimensional table.
