Eyelet for Gas Springs – Type EY1
EY1 is a range of eyelet end fittings for gas springs. Each eyelet screws onto the threaded end of the gas spring through its internal thread, while the mounting hole connects to a compatible pin or bolt.
The EY1 range is available in different thread sizes, mounting-hole diameters and overall dimensions. The eyelets can be combined with selected U-shaped brackets or brackets equipped with a grooved pin. The mounting-hole diameter must be matched to the pin diameter, taking account of the required clearance and tolerances.
The range includes standard products as well as selected variants outside our standard product offering, which are manufactured to order and marked with an asterisk (*) in the dimensional table.
EY1 Eyelet – Dimensions and Variants
The dimensional table lists the available EY1 product codes, mounting-hole diameters, thread sizes and installation dimensions. The corresponding technical drawings show the dimensions and construction of each variant.
Products marked with an asterisk (*) fall outside our standard product offering and are manufactured to order. Unmarked products belong to our standard product offering.
When selecting a variant, check the gas spring thread, mounting-hole diameter and available installation space. For use with a U-shaped bracket, check that the eyelet fits between the bracket arms. For brackets equipped with a grooved pin, check the pin dimensions and the space required to secure the eyelet.

Materials and Available Versions
Standard EY1 eyelets are manufactured from 11SMnPb30 steel with a white zinc-plated finish.
EY1 eyelets can also be manufactured with custom dimensions, materials and surface coatings according to the customer’s specification or application requirements, including versions beyond the variants listed in the dimensional table.
